Police seek two men who robbed taxi driver

Authorities are searching for two men who robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint in North Raleigh on Jan. 22.

Police say the taxi driver picked up the suspects around 11 p.m. and was asked to take them to Greencastle Apartments on the 4200 block of Green Castle Court.

"When they arrived, one of the passengers displayed a handgun and robbed the driver of cash," Sughrue said.

The robbers then fled on foot with $100. The suspect with the gun is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s with a goatee beard, standing 5-feet-4 and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a brown jacket, a black toboggan hat and jeans.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s standing about 5-feet-4, weighing 200 pounds. He was also wearing a brown jacket and jeans.
