Raleigh's Turtles For Tots program is scheduled for 10:15 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Laurel Hills Community Center. The $3 program is for kids ages 3 to 5. Participants will learn where turtles live, what they eat and how they protect themselves, and will take a walk to look for turtles. Registration is required by Friday. Two Curves Fitness Centers are conducting food drives for Urban Ministries of Wake County through the end of March. Food can be dropped off from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3:30 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. at 4237 Louisburg Road or 404 E. Six Forks Road in Raleigh. The Wake Forest Parks and Recreation Department is scheduled to host an Easter egg hunt Saturday at the town's new E. Carroll Joyner Park. There will be more than 3,000 eggs, including several golden eggs with special prizes. Ages 9 to 12 will hunt at 1:30 p.m. Ages 5 to 8 will go at 2:15 p.m. and ages 4 and younger at 3 p.m. If it rains, the event will move to Flaherty Park Community Center.
