Guest robbed at hotel

Authorities are looking for two men who they say robbed a patron March 6 at a Raleigh Econolodge hotel.

The 27-year-old victim was walking up a stairwell to his room when two men armed with handguns approached him from behind. "They pointed the weapons at him and demanded money," police spokeswoman Laura Hourigan said.

The victim turned over his cash, police said. The robbers searched him before fleeing on foot. He was not injured.

The first suspect is described as a black man standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He had a light complexion and close-cut hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a black leather coat. The second suspect's description was incomplete.
