Get to know her: JellyBean is a 7-year-old beagle available for adoption through Triangle Beagle Rescue. JellyBean was found wandering in Bahama in May, pregnant and in poor health. Only one puppy of her four survived, but she was a good mother to him, and he found his forever home quickly. Now it’s JellyBean’s turn. She is a low-maintenance beagle; her favorite pastimes are eating, sleeping and sniffing. She loves attention and would be a great therapy dog. She gets along perfectly with other dogs and children and is curious about the outdoor cats in the neighborhood. JellyBean is house-trained and crate-trained. JellyBean was not spayed before coming to TBR and had to have several mammary tumors removed. Half of them were found to be a low-grade adenocarcinoma, but in August, a follow-up test showed no evidence of metastasis and the vet thinks there is only a 10 percent chance of recurrence. JellyBean’s adoption fee is $150.
