MSFITS bike ride

Team MSFITS is accepting applications for its fifth annual Makin’ Room for Turkey bike ride scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 24. The ride will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Raleigh Rescue Mission. The event will take place behind the Chelsea Place building at 1007 Slater Road, Durham. The registration fee is $30 before Nov. 17, and $40 after. Walk-in registration is welcome. For more information, visit www.MSFITS.org.

Tennis for Good

Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center will host the 2013 Tennis for Good charitable tournament Friday through Sunday, Nov. 15-17. Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10. The registration fee is $25. For more information, visit www.tennisforgood.org.

Frostbite Doubles

Raleigh Parks & Recreation will host the Frostbite Doubles tournament Friday through Sunday, Dec. 13-15. For more information, visit www.raleighnc.gov.

Tennis coaches needed

Tennis coaches are needed for USTA Junior Team Tennis for the fall season.

Players at the 3.5 level will be trained as coaches. Teams are composed of children ages 8 and younger or 10 and younger. Practices are held from 5-6:30 p.m. Fridays and 9-10:30 a.m. Saturdays.

The position pays $12 per hour and $8.25 per hour for training and administrative duties.
