Parent academy

A seminar on elementary assessments will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Athens Drive High, 1420 Athens Drive, Raleigh. The seminar will inform parents about the importance of benchmark assessments and universal screenings, and how this information should guide the instruction and intervention of students. Thales Academy K-5 tour

Thales Academy will hold a tour for prospective students and families at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at their K-5 school at 8151 Town Drive, Raleigh. For more information, visit www.ThalesAcademy.org.

WCPSS now accepting applications

Families may begin applications early this year for N.C. State STEM Early College High School, Wake Early College of Health & Sciences, Wake Young Men’s Leadership Academy, Wake Young Women’s Leadership Academy, and the new Career and Technical Education (CTE) high school. The application form is available at http://ecprograms.wcpss.net/signup.
