Dean’s List

Codi Ford of Raleigh made the Dean’s List this semester at Halifax Community College in Weldon. To qualify, a student must have a term GPA of 3.25 or higher, be enrolled full-time, have not received an incomplete that semester, and cannot be enrolled in any developmental classes for that semester.

Open house

Thales Academy will host a tour for prospective students and families at their middle/high school (grades 6-10) in Wake Forest. The tour will be on Monday, Jan. 13 from 9:00am until 9:30am at 3121 Heritage Trade Drive #104 in Wake Forest.

Scholarships available

Golden LEAF Scholarship information and applications for 2014-15 are available at www.CFNC.org/GoldenLeaf. A total of 215 awards, valued at $12,000, will be available for students attending a qualifying North Carolina campus and are funded by a grant from the Golden LEAF Foundation.

Financial aid open

High school seniors in need of college financial assistance can register for FAFSA Day. Financial aid officers and specialists will be available across the state Feb. 22 to help complete and submit Free Application for Federal Student Aid forms online. A list of locations and registration is at CFNC.org/FAFSAday or 866-866-CFNC.
