    Get to know him: Beetle is a 3-year-old, 24-pound beagle who was rescued from a rural shelter. He was born with cataracts and has had surgery to correct his vision. Beetle is affectionate, house trained and crate trained. He gets along well with dogs and people alike.

Adoption fees are $300 for puppies, $250 for adults and $150 for seniors and include all vet work. The group holds adoptathons on the second Saturday of every month at PetSmart, 3615 Witherspoon Blvd., Durham, and the fourth Sunday of every month at Animal in Cary Towne Center.
